The Cloud Genomics Hackathon: Building Reproducible Nextflow Pipelines on AWS is a one-day, in-person event on Thursday 16 July 2026, 9:00–16:30, at IDEALondon, 69 Wilson Street, London EC2A 2BB, run by the UCL Centre for Digital Innovation.

What it is

A hands-on day bringing bioinformaticians and researchers together to tackle the practical side of running genomics pipelines in the cloud. Teams take on challenges across pipeline development, comparing cloud services, infrastructure-as-code deployment, and benchmarking at scale — working towards an open “playbook” for reproducible, cost-effective cloud genomics with Nextflow.

Bioinformaticians, PhD students, postdocs and research staff interested in cloud-based genomics and Nextflow pipelines.
